The rasa-pancha-dhyaya, five chapters describing the rasa dance, are the five airs of "Srimad-Bhagavatam". This is the main message of "Srimad-Bhagavatam", but in order to understand it properly we need to go gradually. The rest of "Srimad-Bhagavatam" is meant to make us sober, to give us the transcendental intelligence that will enable us to understand these topics of the Tenth canto.

Krishna is not in a hurry to show Himself to those who serve Him. He waits for those whose love has not yet matured to mature. By not showing Himself to us, He makes us humble and inflames our desire more and more. For those who are already perfect, He does this to increase their love.
Krishna comes as Lord Caitanya to teach us how to achieve the highest and most pure love of God.
