Our acaryas say that Krishna took birth in Vrindavana as the son of Nanda Maharaja and Yashoda, because they loved Him much more than Devaki and Vasudeva. Krishna was not actually born to Vasudeva and Devaki, He simply appeared before them in a four-armed form. This example shows that Krishna reciprocates according to the condition of one's heart.
The nature of Parjanya Maharaj was to give and because of it, his wealth grew up. If we want to get, we first have to give. Unless we give, we will never get. Even if we get something without giving, whatever we receive will not remain with us. Parjanya loved his five sons so much that they had no rivalry among themselves. They felt so secure that they had no envy, which usually is the result of a lack of love. Therefore, since Nanda had no envy, Krishna was born to him. When Parjanya wanted to crown Upananda, Upananda suggested that Nanda should be crowned and everyone was very happy about it.
