If we really want to build a community, we first need to create a mechanism to attract people of a certain calibre. If educated people are attracted, they themselves can attract people later. But if the crowd is too diverse, a new person comes and feels uncomfortable. He does not feel that he belongs there. When similar people associate with each other, they can do and achieve a lot.

We have to present Krishna consciousness as a science. Science is universal, whereas religions or cultures are very ethnically coloured. If we present Krishna consciousness as a sectarian culture, we will have a very limited sphere of success and influence.

The starting point for young people and children is to establish in them the proper identity or the pride for belonging to this great culture. We establish this identity by explaining that everyone has this inner desire to belong to something great. By belonging to something great, we elevate ourselves.
